Alex Devries continued her outstanding first year of high school cross-country with a gold medal in the midget girls race at the Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association championships in Guelph on Thursday.

Last week, the North Park Collegiate student placed first at the Brant County high school championships, after a record-setting performance in Rochester, N.Y.
